Jakarta punya segalanya. Kota ini menjelma seumpama toserba yang barang dagangannya selalu bisa diandalkan. Kondisi kocek tinggal mencocokan. Semua berhak jadi pelanggan dan kasir. Permintaan dan pembelian––dari yang mafhum hingga yang melahirkan kernyit, lazim terjadi. Kendati demikian, Jakarta adalah inkonsistensi yang paling konsisten. Ia juara dalam urusan genit. Godaan, kemudahan, hingga kenangan tentangnya akan membuatmu bosan, rindu, namun tetap berpulang padanya. Kompilasi “Pop diKota” mengambil peranannya sebagai perwakilan kota ini dari departemen kesenian. Menonjolkan narasi, gambar, dan tentunya musik, substansinya dirasa cukup untuk menjadi pengingat dari musik Jakarta pada tahun 2021. Tepat saat wabah virus Covid-19 hinggap terlampau lama di kota ini. Apa yang akan terdengar barangkali terlalu berpencar, riuh rendah, dan ganjil. Album Kompilasi Pop diKota lahir di tengah Pandemi yang tidak berkesudahan. Projectnya dikerjakan oleh 5 orang muda mudi Jakarta - Tangerang yang punya mimpi untuk membuat sebuah kompilasi. Album Kompilasi ini sekaligus sebagai penanda, 10 tahun berdiri-nya SRM Bookings & Services, sebuah unit Manajemen Musik dan Booking Agent Musik, yang sudah berdiri sejak tahun 2011 di Jakarta. Raka Syahreza, sang penggagas Album Kompilasi ini, datang menyampaikan ide-nya ke Satria Ramadhan dan Felix Sirinando di awal tahun 2021. Lalu tercetuslah ide membuat Album Kompilasi Digital yang dirilis melalui Digital Streaming Platform terkemuka, pada Hari Kamis, 9 September 2021 ini.
Kompilasi ini berisikan 10 Lagu dari Musisi Jakarta, yang kesemuanya dikurasi bersama oleh Tim Pop diKota. Album Kompilasi ini dibuka oleh lagu ‘City Of Lies’ dari Sunwich, Band Indiepop yang berdomisili di Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara. Lalu Trek kedua diisi oleh Voxxes, dengan lagunya yang berjudul ‘Sweet Cherry’. Singer Songwriter Jazeed mengajak Faishal Tanjung, salah satu personil Voxxes untuk mengisi lagu yang ada di urutan ketiga, berjudul ‘City Light’. Lalu di trek keempat ada sebuah lagu bernuansa 80’an dari Groovebox Story, Band baru bentukan Aroel, yang pernah berada di band-band lawas seperti Planetbumi dan Stereomantic. Judul Lagunya adalah ‘Pupus Harapan’.
Masuk Lagu kelima ada ‘Cherry Blossoms’, dari sebuah grup Disco Synth 80’s Pop bernama Guernica Club yang baru saja merilis EP. Lalu di lagu Keenam ada kolaborasi antara singer songwriter Tanayu dan Logic Lost yang bernuansa Ambient. Lagu Kolaborasi mereka diberi judul ‘Kidung Bumi’. Ranu Pani, menjadi band yang mengisi trek ketujuh, dengan lagu ‘Harusnya aku yang Menyanyikan Ini’. Ahmad Luthfi Maajid, sang vokalis, mengajukan diri untuk menangani urusan Mixing dan Mastering Kompilasi Pop diKota ini, dibawah studio Udana Audio miliknya.
Lalu ada Purpla, Unit Indie Rock Jakarta ini kedapatan mengisi trek ketujuh, dengan lagu enerjiknya yang berjudul ‘JKT 24/7’. Di urutan kedua terakhir, ada Bilal Indrajaya yang baru saja merilis Single beberapa minggu yang lalu. di Kompilasi ini dia menitipkan lagu ‘Nurani’. Dan Lagu yang ditunjuk untuk menjadi penutup yang manis di Kompilasi ini adalah Lagu sepoi sepoi berjudul ‘Pulang’ milik Irama Pantai Selatan. Album Kompilasi ini juga didukung oleh Brand Urban ibukota, Kamengski.
Rencananya Album Kompilasi berdurasi 41 menit ini akan dicetak dalam bentuk fisik. Dan semoga Album Kompilasi ini akan menjadi Album Kompilasi yang berkesan di masa yang akan datang.

Jakarta has everything. This city has become like a one big store whose the supply can always be relied on. The price range is variety, there’s always something for everything. Everyone has the right to be customers and cashiers. Demands and purchases––from the understandable to those that give rise to frowns, are common. Nevertheless, Jakarta is the most consistent inconsistency. A champion in flirting. Temptation, ease, until the memories of Jakarta will make you bored, miss, but still go home to him. The compilation “Pop diKota” takes on it’s role as the city's representative from the arts department. Emphasizing narration, pictures, and of course music, the substance is enough to be a reminder of Jakarta's music in 2021. Just when the Covid-19 virus outbreak has been sitting for too long in this city. What will be heard may be too scattered, boisterous, and odd. But, Jakarta is like that, isn't it? - Hillfrom T. Pop diKota Compilation Album was born in the midst of an endless Pandemic. The project was initiated by 5 young people from Jakarta - Tangerang who have a dream to make a compilation. This compilation album also marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of SRM Bookings & Services, a Music Management unit and Music Booking Agent, which has been established since 2011 in Jakarta. Raka Syahreza, the originator of this Compilation Album, came to convey his ideas to Satria Ramadhan and Felix Sirando in early 2021. Then the idea came to make a Digital Compilation Album which was released through the leading Digital Streaming Platform, on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
This compilation contains 10 Songs from Jakarta Musicians, all of which were co-curated by the Pop diKota team. This compilation album was opened by the song 'City Of Lies' from Sunwich, an Indiepop Band domiciled in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. Then the second track was filled by Voxxes, with their song entitled 'Sweet Cherry'. Singer Songwriter Jazeed invited Faishal Tanjung, one of Voxxes personnel to fill in the third song, entitled 'City Light'. Then on the fourth track, there is a song with an 80's vibes from Groovebox Story, a new band formed by Aroel, who has been in old bands such as Planetbumi and Stereomantic. The title of the song is 'Pupus Harapan'.
Entering the fifth song, there is 'Cherry Blossoms', from a Disco Synth 80's Pop group called Guernica Club which has just released an EP. Then in the sixth song, there is a collaboration between singer songwriter Tanayu and Logic Lost with Ambient nuances. Their collaboration song is titled 'Kidung Bumi'. Ranu Pani, became the band that filled in the seventh track, with the song 'Harusnya Aku Yang Menyanyikan Ini'. Ahmad Luthfi Maajid, the vocalist, volunteered to handle the Mixing and Mastering of Pop Compilations in this city, under his Udana Audio studio.
Then there is Purpla, the Jakarta Indie Rock Unit that filling in the seventh track, with its energetic song entitled 'JKT 24/7'. In the second last place, there is Bilal Indrajaya who just released a single a few weeks ago. In this compilation he entrusts the song 'Nurani'. And the song that was appointed to be a sweet ending in this compilation is the windy chill ambience song entitled 'Pulang' belonging to Irama Pantai Selatan. This compilation album is also supported by the capital's Urban Brand, Kamengski.
It is planned that the 41 minute compilation album will be printed in physical form. And hopefully this compilation album will be a memorable compilation album in the future.
