Irama Pantai Selatan was formed by Arief Fauzan and Sigit Ezra since
December 2017. This ukulele duo introduced a musical style also they own
genre called “Maritime Pop”, a genre inspired by Indonesian pop music of
the 1950s–1960s such as Bing Slamet, Oslan Hussein, and Orkes Sjaiful
Bahri, infused with influences from Latin music and Tropicalia. Their lyrics
explore themes of Indonesia’s coastal life, the sea, and the many dynamics
surrounding it.
In 2020, Irama Pantai Selatan released their debut full-length album titled
“Dendang Samudra”, produced by Ricky Virgana (White Shoes & The
Couples Company). The album received positive acclaim, was featured in
various editorial playlists across music streaming platforms, and has since
been listened to by millions of listeners.
In 2023, they released the EP “Romansa dari Pesisir”, with the lead single
“DAMBA”, a collaboration with Mondo Gascaro. The EP was once again
met with an enthusiastic response, becoming the cover of the editorial
playlist “Indienesia”, appearing in numerous editorial playlists on streaming
platforms, and garnering millions of listeners.

In addition, songs by Irama Pantai Selatan have been featured as
soundtracks for films such as Penyalin Cahaya (2021), Para Betina
Pengikut Iblis 1 (2023), and Para Betina Pengikut Iblis 2 (2024).
For live performances, Irama Pantai Selatan appears in a full-band
format they call “Orkes Menyiur”, supported by Nino Bukir
(percussion), Fadli Tri (bass), Rama Cristna (keyboards), and
Gearda (guitar). Their organic, spontaneous, and playful stage
presence has become a defining strength, leading Irama Pantai
